PORT HUGHES JETTY

While many divers make the pilgrimage further South to well-known dive sites, Port Hughes is slowly building its reputation as a world class Jetty dive site. Situated a few hours from Adelaide, Port Hughes is a popular holiday destination and located in the middle of all the holiday bustle is a beautiful Jetty suitable to Macro and Wide Angle photography. There’s almost a pygmy version of everything found at this site – Cuttlefish, Leatherjacket, Squid – even the seahorse are tiny. Schooling fish and resident Smooth Rays make it an energetic site and the colourful sponges and vibrant seagrass catch your eye.
