Temperate Reef systems of Southern Australia are vibrant and energetic coastal ecosystems. Nutrient rich waters support a vast array of colorful life and unique creatures, from microscopic invertebrates – think of nudibranchs and hermit crabs - to the colossal such as the Humpback and Southern Right Whales. In South Australia, many of the reefs are accessible from the shore from one of our many Jetties. Golden Kelp sway in the cool waters and entice you in and there are plenty of treasures to be found – Leafy Sea Dragons call many of the Reefs home and so do playful Australian Sea Lions – there is so much life to be discovered, it’s just a matter of choosing where to start!
